An 18-year-old male driver was taken to hospital after a crash on the M1 this morning.The incident, which happened on the southbound carriageway and involved one vehicle, caused traffic chaos and hold-ups around the city and county for more than six hours.The teenager, who was the only person in the car, had to be rescued from the vehicle by firefighters.He was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham, for treatment to injuries described by police as minor.
