A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car on the A6 in Kibworth yesterday evening.Emergency services were called to Harborough Road, near to the Coach and Horses pub, close to the Church Road junction, just before 5.30pm.The youngster was crossing the road with a woman and other children when the incident happened.
